Kingston, Jamaica – The Agro-Investment Corporation (Agro-Invest) is set to unveil its Future of Jamaican Agribusiness Pavilion at the 72nd staging of the Denbigh Agricultural, Industrial and Food Show, offering visitors an immersive experience showcasing the investment opportunities, technologies and innovations driving the transformation of Jamaica’s agricultural sector.
Designed around five key themes—Invest, Produce, Process, Export and Innovate—the pavilion will demonstrate how agriculture is evolving beyond primary production into a modern, technology-enabled industry that creates opportunities for investment, entrepreneurship, employment and sustainable economic growth.
The pavilion supports Denbigh 72’s theme, “Growing Forward: Cultivating a Path to a Better Jamaica,” by highlighting Agro-Invest’s efforts to expand agricultural opportunities, develop critical infrastructure, facilitate investment, strengthen value chains and promote innovation to build a more productive, resilient and globally competitive agricultural sector.
Under the Invest theme, visitors will discover investment-ready opportunities across Agro-Invest’s Agro Parks, Production Zones and agricultural properties, including land lease opportunities under the Southern Plains Agricultural Development Project (SPAD). The exhibit will also highlight opportunities in greenhouse farming, Agro-processing, logistics, cold storage facilities and agricultural infrastructure development, while showcasing Agro-Invest’s role in connecting investors with strategic opportunities across the sector.
The Produce exhibit will showcase modern production systems and Agro-Invest’s ongoing efforts to improve agricultural productivity through greenhouse rehabilitation projects, irrigation infrastructure upgrades and the continued development of Agro Parks, including the recently launched Parnassus Agro Park in Clarendon. Visitors will explore climate-smart agriculture, protected agriculture and technologies that are improving efficiency, resilience and food security.
The Process section will highlight opportunities in Agro-processing and value-added manufacturing, demonstrating how Jamaican agricultural commodities can be transformed into higher-value products for local and international markets. The exhibit will showcase the importance of processing in reducing post-harvest losses, increasing farmer profitability and creating new business opportunities throughout the agricultural sector.
Under Export, patrons will gain insight into pathways for accessing regional and international markets. The display will highlight export-ready commodities, market requirements, and Agro-Invest’s expanded role in strengthening Jamaica’s export capacity through the management of the Export Division and strategic partnerships that connect producers with global opportunities.
The Innovate exhibit will feature emerging technologies shaping the future of agriculture, including drones, precision agriculture systems, digital farm management tools and smart irrigation solutions. The zone will also highlight opportunities for youth, women and entrepreneurs to participate in a rapidly evolving and technology-driven agricultural sector.
Visitors will have the opportunity to engage directly with Agro-Invest’s team to learn about investment facilitation services, development projects and programmes supporting farmers, investors and agribusiness operators. Information will also be available on the Jamaica Agri-Business Investment Forum (JAIF), Agro-Invest’s flagship investment platform that connects local and international investors with opportunities across the agricultural value chain.
Chief Executive Officer of Agro-Invest, Vivion Scully, said the pavilion reflects the Corporation’s commitment to positioning agriculture as a major driver of economic growth and national development.
“Jamaica’s future in agriculture extends far beyond production. Significant opportunities exist across investment, processing, logistics, exports, technology and infrastructure development. Through this pavilion, we want Jamaicans to see agriculture as a business opportunity and a pathway to innovation, entrepreneurship, wealth creation and sustainable development. Agro-Invest remains committed to unlocking these opportunities and helping to cultivate a stronger future for Jamaica.”
The Future of Jamaican Agribusiness Pavilion will feature interactive displays, investment information and real-world examples of how public and private sector partnerships are transforming Jamaica’s agricultural landscape.
Patrons are invited to visit the pavilion at Denbigh 72 and experience firsthand how innovation, investment and entrepreneurship are shaping the next chapter of Jamaican agriculture.
